I care a lot about my clients. Probably more than a person really should, given the nature of what I do.
I am a matchmaker for people and houses. Whether I have a house listed and am looking for the perfect people to fill that spot, or helping buyers find that ultimate glass slipper that feels like home.
There's a lot of emotion and stress that can go into looking for a home. I try to alleviate those elements as much as humanly possible. I try to create a fun environment that allows for open and honest communication. Not every house will be a winner, and I certainly have my fair share of memories in seeing houses that didn't make the cut.
Real estate is more than a business for me. It is a passion that has spurred into friendships, referrals and a network of hundreds of people who advocate for how I conduct myself professionally; and they want their friends and family to experience the difference.
One of the best parts of real estate is finding other companies and people who have helped buyers and sellers make the best of the experience. I have developed a network of other professionals that help as well.
Mortgage Pros
If you don't have a briefcase of cash to plunk down on a place, most of us need financing. And I have an array of professionals who can help get the job done with minimal pain. (Getting loans 15 years ago was easier, thus leading to the economic collapse of 2008). Each pro I work with has strengths and depending on the loan scenario, I try to best fit my clients with the right person.
Inspectors (of all sorts)
Inspections are one of the best ways to protect a buyer from buying a money pit. A great inspector (whether whole house, septic, well, etc) will educate about the ins and outs of the particular systems and show if there is any damage, what can be done in the future and maintenance related items to maintain the property.
Contractors and Builders
There are a lot of people who say they are experts, but after 16 years of working and using a number of different trades, for personal home repairs and professionally; I can definitely get you in the right direction with a contractor who can better suit your needs and budget. I have personally had a home built and have been involved in dozens of remodel projects on rehabilitated homes in the area. I've seen people do it right and then not so right...it's not pretty. Ask me for some names before you hire :)
Anyone can put the title Realtor after their name, but to truly embody what a Realtor does means so much more.
With over 18 years experience in the ups and downs of the Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR real estate markets, let me show you the difference that experience can mean.
The last 18 years of my career have been filled with many different types of real estate transactions.
Custom home building.
Finding a buildable site, getting floor plans created and matching the style to the perfect builder who will get the job done on budget and on time.
New construction.
Working for a builder in a neighborhood to build out a community of 15-150 homes from site selection, floor plan and working with superintendent to deliver a beautifully crafted home.
Investment.
Helping clients find long or short term investments, either for rental or for rehabilitation and resale back onto the market. Locating and evaluating properties that will accomplish their financial goals.
First Time Homebuyers.
Certainly the largest first financial decision people can make. It may seem difficult, but with the right person to help navigate the pitfalls, and hurdles, it can be done with ease.
Move Up and Move Down Buyers.
Whether the family is growing, or the time to downsize and simplify life, this can be tricky in trying to get all of the moving pieces and components lined up just perfectly without hitch or headache. Usually people want to find that perfect new castle, before selling the old one.
